EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Since its inception in 1994,
The Universal Peacemakers Foundation, a Maryland nonprofit, non-stock
corporation, has had as its purpose charitable, educational, training, and
counseling services in the area of crisis & conflict resolution, in
accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and the undertaking of other projects,
programs, and activities consistent with tax exempt IRS Code. Jesus is the “universal peacemaker,”
and the foundation of our work to help people learn to resolve conflict in an
effective and biblically faithful manner.
The Foundation is currently hosted by its founding family, The Brantley Group, at its Baltimore County office estate called Near Haven, where BridgePoint Ministries provides Christian ministerial oversight. Driven by its commitment toward Bible-based conflict resolution, the Foundation promotes and is involved in several charitable, educational, training, and counseling projects, programs, and activities including:
o Helping diverse individuals, couples, families, organizations, businesses, and governments seek biblically faithful resolutions to daily and ongoing conflicts, worldwide;
o Helping families, youth, parents, elderly, and agencies serving them, reclaim the benefits of multigenerational family living, such as: strengthening family relationships and culture, enhancing child development, improving the quality of parenting, and enhancing/extending the quality/length of life of the elderly; and
o Helping families at risk of home foreclosure, the loss of their land, and the failure of their efforts to develop and build affordable housing solutions for their communities.
Under the direction of its Board of Directors, the guidance of its Advisory Council, and the leadership of its Managing Director (Minister Robert L. Brantley) and its Clinical Director (Dr. Astra P. Brantley), The Universal Peacemakers Foundation continues its non-profit work to help people of all faiths and cultures.
The Foundation is currently embarked upon a campaign to build a financial endowment for the ongoing support of its work. Under the theme of “LOAVES & FISHES”, the Universal Peacemakers Foundation is seeking global support and involvement in its efforts to raise funds and other assets that will permanently endow its local, national, and worldwide charitable, educational, training, and counseling efforts.
