ASTRA P. BRANTLEY, PSY.D.
Astra P. Brantley holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois; an M.S.Ed. degree in Guidance & Counseling from Chicago State University; and a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Dr. Brantley is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Maryland and the District of Columbia; a National Certified Counselor; and a Certified Christian Conciliator by the Institute for Christian Conciliation. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Psychological Association, the Maryland Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, and is listed in the National Register for Psychologists. Dr. Brantley has psychiatric hospital experience in areas of chronic care, total quality assurance, and counselor supervision-training. In private practice she specializes in care to professional women, family psychotherapy and Christian/Biblical counseling and care, and the clinical supervision of other practitioners, including clergy. She is also an established preferred provider for insurance companies; and a regular point of referral by pastors who require help with their parishioners/clients. Astra is the founder and international director of the ICCS (Institute for Christian Clinical Supervision) in Upperco, Maryland.
